I know the business of farming and when it comes to trying to implement a working safety health system into each farm workplace there are specific individualized requirements. OnFarmSafety will audit establish farm Health and Safety Status provide recommendations, coaching, guidance and training on how to implement and support farm teams as they incorporate the policies and programme into their farm routine. This package is designed for larger farm enterprises multiple farm units and businesses with no Health and Safety plans in place. We listen and take into account the work load you and your teams manage every day and devise a Health and Safety system around this. We understand the change in culture that needs to take place in the farming industry and will support every farmer as they develop their customised Farm Health and Safety Plan to create safer farms. Currently with her husband Phill they have raised a family while growing their farm business to its current level of 700 dairy cow’s in Taranaki. Bronwyn is openly passionate about farming, the lifestyle and the rural industry.
She was responsible for the establishment of Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre in Taranaki understand’s farm training, and has facilitated DairyNZ discussion groups in North Taranaki and was the New Zealand Young Farmers National AgriKidsNZ Manager for 4years. OnFarmSafety was developed as a brand in April 2013 and now employs a total team of 12 around New Zealand to support New Zealand farmers as they develop their health safety systems. Currently with her husband Phill they have raised a family while growing their farm business to its current level of 700 dairy cow’s in Taranaki. Bronwyn is openly passionate about farming, the lifestyle and the rural industry.
OnFarmSafety was developed as a brand in April 2013 and now employs a total team of 12 around New Zealand to support New Zealand farmers as they develop their health safety systems. Like the rest of the team, having an agricultural background and current involvement, we know how busy farmers get. My husband John and I farmed there before moving north to the Waikato in the 1980's, where we live today on a small dairy grazing block at Puahue. I have previously worked within the banking industry for 22 years with 17 of those years as a personal branch manager. My husband Robert and I have been dairy farming for 30 years and have 4 adult children.
I am excited to be a part of the team and looking forward to meeting you and helping you tailor a health and safety plan for your business. Having experience in health and safety systems in a variety of industries and in our own farming business has given me an understanding of the issues facing rural people when implementing their own health and safety plan. My husband and I are sharemilkers in Eltham, calving 360 cows, we came third in the 2016 Taranaki Dairy Industry Awards. With managing the Health and Safety system on our own farm I understand the importance of this in the workplace and am excited to be working at On Farm Safety New Zealand.
Since then I have been involved in training and development for small medium sized businesses and managing the Health and Safety system for an environmental contracting company. If you are responsible for the management of an agribusiness the responsibility lies with you to ensure that every person within your farm workplace at any time understands your safety and Health procedures and policies
